The
Am’D lightweight asymmetrical carabiner is made of aluminum. It has a D
shape particularly suited for connection to diverse equipment such as
descenders or positioning lanyards. Its fluid interior design and
Keylock system facilitate handling. The Am’D carabiner is available in
three locking systems: automatic TRIACT-LOCK or BALL-LOCK system, or the
manual SCREW-LOCK system. Am'D may be used with a CAPTIV positioning
bar to favor loading of the carabiner along the major axis, to limit the
risk of it flipping and to keep it integrated with the device.
Connecting to positioning lanyards and descenders is simplified with the Petzl Am'D H-Frame Ball-Lock Carabiner available at OmniProGear. This lightweight aluminum carabiner's asymmetric D shape makes it ideally suited for connection to diverse tree equipment. Handling is also less of a chore than before because of the fluid interior design and the Keylock system that keeps the carabiner from inadvertently snagging on something. The ball-lock locking system has a triple action gate opening that is automatic and which includes a lock indicator. Markings are insulated from risk to abrasion and the strength-to-weight ratio is boosted by the carabiner's 'H' cross-section. It has a major axis strength of 27 kN and a gate opening of 25mm. Guaranteed for three years by the manufacturer, the Petzl Am'D H-Frame Carabiner has CE EN 362 and EAC certifications.
